10$ laptop will be launched in India?

India has developed the cheapest car of the world. Now its time to launch the cheapest laptop. I am not joking. India is on verge of launching only 10$ laptop. According to HRD state minister Purandeswari research work is going on in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and IIT Madras to develop the cheapest laptop. This laptop will be used mainly by children. Actually it is India’s response to Intel 100$ laptop for children of developing nations. The laptop will be very useful in solving the problems of low computer literacy and e-learning especially in distant villages of India.

Last year Indian government rejected the offer of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) alumnus Nicholas Negroponte to supply 100$ laptops to school children of India. The government said that Indian computer engineers are able to develop laptops cheaper than that 100$ laptop.

Still I think 10$ is a big challenge for IISC and IIT engineers. I am wondering how they will cut the hardware costs and set manufacturing price below 10$.

Terrorism in India in last 15 years

Terrorism is one of the biggest challenges for India. Many part of India including, Jammu and Kashmir, Central India (Naxalism) and North-eastern States are affected with this problem. Terrorism in India has often been alleged to be sponsored by its neighbor Pakistan. However, Pakistan always claim that most of the acts of terrorism in its land are sponsored by India’s RAW intelligence service. India says that Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan is responsible for terrorism in India whereas Pakistan says India’ RAW intelligence service is doing all sort of terrorist activities in Pakistan. Most of the terrorists in India are from Islamic background especially in Jammu and Kashmir. This is basically due to unemployment and poverty in Islamic nations like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh etc.

In my opinion Islam is against Terrorism. a true Muslim cannot hurt any body forget about innocent children, men and women. A true Muslim should always follow the rule of forgiveness taught by the Quran and Holy Prophet. No one has a right to kill in the name of ALLAH and defame the religion of Peace. If any one found guilty of terrorism whether he is a muslim or non muslim he is liable to get death punishment as per Islam. All those who have killed our innocent non muslim brothers ( in any state of India) in the name of Islam are not Muslims, since their neighbors(whether a person or a house or a state or a Country) are not safe from them.

Let’s see what Quran and Prophet Muhammad says about Terrorism:

* Any one who kills any innocent human being is as if he has killed the whole of Humanity and anyone who has save a human being irrespective of caste, culture, religion or race, it is as if he has save the whole of Humanity. Al Quraan
* All muslims are brothers in Faith and all Human beings (Whether they belong to any religion or race, black or white) are brothers in Humanity. Al Quraan
* A person is not a Muslim if his neighbors( whether of any race or religion) are not safe from his deeds. Prophet Muhammed
* A True Muslim should respect the religions of his other non muslim brothers and sisters. Prophet Muhammed
* A True Muslim is a guardian and protector of his neighbors property, family, esteem (IZZAT), etc whether they belong to any religion or race, black or white). Prophet Muhammed

Resurgent India level series

India crushed Sri Lanka by 170 runs to cruise home inside four days and avenge the humiliation in Colombo. The series is now leveled at 1-1.

India win by 170 runs

India crushed Sri Lanka in the second Test to level the series at 1-1. This has been a tremendous fight back by the Indians, who were mauled in Colombo at the SSC a few days ago. This Test would be remembered for Sehwag's blistering double ton in the first innings, even as wickets kept tumbling around him, Harbhajan's 10 wicket haul and an inspitational spell of fast bowling by Ishant Sharma, who came up with a three wicket burst to rattle the Sri Lankan middle order. Harbhajan ended up the match with his 5th test 10 Wicket haul.

Smith leads South Africa to historic series victory

Edgbaston has provided heartbreak for South Africa in the past, but nine years on from their lowest point in the 1999 World Cup they exorcised some ghosts by claiming their first series win in England since 1965. Graeme Smith produced a performance that will go down in South Africa sporting history with an unbeaten 154, one of the finest centuries in a run chase. The victory was clinched by a 112-run stand with Mark Boucher, after they claimed the extra half hour against a spent England attack.

It was a crowning moment for Smith, whose love-affair with Edgbaston continued following his 277 in 2003. On that tour he was a young and inexperienced captain and his team failed to build on twice leading the series. Smith didn't want this contest to go to a deciding match at The Oval. Not that the winning moment needed to be any sweeter, but the final boundary came off Kevin Pietersen.

Smart stats:

* South Africa's first Test win at Edgbaston sealed their first series triumph in England since 1965.
* South Africa's 283 for 5 is the highest fourth-innings total at Edgbaston, and their fourth-highest successful chase in Tests.
* Graeme Smith's 154 not out was the first century in the fourth innings at Edgbaston. Smith has now scored 523 runs in four innings at Edgbaston, the most for a visiting batsman at the venue.
* During his innings, Smith became the fourth to score 5000 Test runs while playing as captain. His unbeaten 154 was also the second-best score by a South African in the fourth innings of a Test.
* Mark Boucher's 45 not out was his top score in a successful chase: his four fifties in the fourth innings had all come in defeats. The unbroken 112-run stand between Boucher and Smith was the third-highest fourth-innings partnership at Edgbaston.
