Baseball fan died after defeat of his team

Today a shocking news came from Beijing Olympic Games. A Taiwanese baseball fan died of a heart attack after his favorite team faced humiliating defeat to China in the Olympic baseball competition. The person who died was 74-year-old pensioner from Kaohsiung. The news channels identified the person with surname Huang. He was a big baseball fan all his life and had never missed a baseball game. Actually Baseball is Taiwan’s national game. This time, its fans were expecting easy win over China. In that match, China put up a strong defense and the game was tied 3-3 in the 10th inning, leading to extra innings which China went on to win 8-7 as the tension and frustration built up which finally caused heart attack and then death for Huang.

Last year a 17 years old boy in Bihar died of a heart attack soon after India’s shocking defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the cricket World Cup. So I would advice you while attending a sporting event, always try to be in light mood. Never get emotional and tensed in tight matches. Just watch the game for entertainment. Some people think that a particular game is a matter of life and death for them. I don’t like that attitude. Always remember,

There are sufferings in life, and there are defeats. No one can avoid them. But it’s better to lose some of the battles in the struggles for your dreams than to be defeated without ever knowing what you’re fighting for.

It is inevitable that some defeat will enter even the most victorious life. The human spirit is never finished when it is defeated, it is finished when it surrenders.

Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday.
